While it is possible for your body to heal itself when you break a bone or cut yourself, it is not possible with other conditions, like soft tissue injuries. Regenerative medicine is changing that by incorporating the body to use its own systems to help regenerate cells and rebuild from traumas and injuries.

At Pain Zero, we use regenerative medicine treatments, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and cell based therapy, to address injuries and improve patient health by prompting the body's natural healing ability and increasing cell growth. Contact our team in Central Ohio to learn more about how we use this method for general health and wellness.

During your appointment, our experts at Pain Zero will assess your situation to determine which method of regenerative medicine best fits your needs. We utilize the latest in medical technology to ensure every patient receives the highest quality of care, whether we use PRP injections or stem cell therapy. Once it is determined exactly the form of treatment required, we will talk you through each step to make sure that you understand how the process works.

For PRP injections, we create a platelet-rich serum using your own blood and inject the serum into the treatment area, which provides the protein needed to help the tissues repair themselves. In stem cell therapy, we extract protein-rich regenerative cells from your body and reimplant them into painful or damaged joints or wherever you may have damaged tissue to help replace diseased cells over time.

We will do everything we can to make you feel comfortable while in our care. If an injection is required, we will be sure to numb the area so that pain is eliminated. For more questions concerning this treatment, talk to our team in Central Ohio.

At Pain Zero in Columbus, OH, regenerative medicine is at the forefront of innovative pain management. Harnessing the body's natural healing potential, these treatments aim to repair and rejuvenate damaged tissues. Some of the key benefits include:

  • Natural healing: Uses the body's own cells and substances to promote recovery.
  • Minimally invasive: Reduces the need for surgical interventions.
  • Reduced recovery time: Accelerates healing, returning patients to their routines faster.
  • Decreased pain and inflammation: Offers relief by targeting the root cause, not just the symptoms.
  • Reduced dependency on medications: May decrease the need for long-term pain medications.
  • Joint preservation: Can prevent or delay the need for joint replacement surgeries.
  • Safety: Lower risk of allergic reactions or rejections.

What is Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) Therapy?

BMAC therapy involves using a concentrated solution derived from your own bone marrow, which is the soft and spongy tissue located in the center of your bones, such as the hip or pelvic bone. The bone marrow is responsible for producing blood in the body. The cells found in BMAC are specialized cells that can replicate into different types of tissues, promoting tissue growth and accelerating the natural healing process. This therapy aims to harness the body's regenerative potential by stimulating its own healing abilities.

Indications for Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMAC) Therapy

BMAC therapy may be beneficial for the following conditions:

  • Joint osteoarthritis
  • Enhancement of wound healing
  • Osteonecrosis (bone deterioration)
  • Accelerated healing of tendons
  • Fracture treatment
  • Disease progression delay, such as arthritis
  • Cartilage injury treatment

By leveraging the power of Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate, BMAC therapy aims to address these conditions by promoting tissue growth, stimulating natural healing abilities, and potentially reducing the need for more invasive treatments.

Enhance Healing and Reduce Pain with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a scientifically-backed method to alleviate pain and boost the body's natural healing process. The treatment involves injecting concentrated platelets derived from your blood into the affected area. PRP therapy is a secure and organic way to accelerate recovery, without resorting to pain blockers or masking agents.

Experience the benefits of PRP therapy and say goodbye to persistent pain.

I've been coming here for 4 months now after trying to manage my back pain issues with every other treatment and medicine that my previous specialists offered from May 2022 until Nov 2023. In these 4 months I've had more improvement in mobility and pain relief than i did in all of 2022 and 2023. I've also seen a significant weight loss from being able to move better, cook my own food, and work again. Pain Zero also offer medicine when needed between procedures and more importantly they listen to the issues you're having and provide safe and effective pain relief. I wish I would have came here 2 years ago when my issues first started, but I'm thankful to have found a great doctor and pain management center now. Why I would suggest Pain Zero over a place that rhymes with Northo Oro for spine and neck issues through my personal experience. (Dr. C and his orthopedic team at "Northo Oro" are awesome!) I feel Dr Taif at Pain Zero listened to my issues and concerns with the pain and offered options he felt was best for me. I was very hesitant after many short lived & underwhelming procedures at the other places. Pain Zero offers all the same out patient surgical procedures as the bigger ortho centers. The difference in that is the big centers have around 30 people on staff and PZ has about 5. So the costs of the procedures are far less and you don't have an audience in the room either like the other place.

About Us
How much does PRP therapy cost?

The cost of PRP therapy will be dependent on the size of the area being treated and if it is performed with another cosmetic procedure. Your practitioner will come up with a cost estimate during your initial consultation at Pain Zero and discuss all your payment options.

How long do results from PRP therapy last?

Improvements from PRP therapy can last for 4 – 8 weeks. The results will vary in every patient and will depend on the area being treated. The benefit of PRP therapy is that it does not require surgery or a long recovery period and is less expensive.

What are the risks and complications of PRP therapy?

Possible risks for PRP on its own are mild and include temporary swelling and bruising. When you get PRP therapy with microneedling, possible risks include mild scarring, pigment changes, and delayed healing. That’s one of the reasons why you should have microneedling performed by a skilled practitioner, like those at our Central Ohio office.
