Rae Ann has been a Nurse Practitioner for 14 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Mount Carmel College of Nursing in 2003. She spent her bedside nursing career working at The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute in Columbus, Ohio. It was at The James where Rae Ann became interested in pain management after seeing the impact chronic pain had on the quality of life of her cancer patients.
After earning her Master of Science in Nursing degree from The Ohio State University in 2011, Rae Ann left the Buckeye State for sunny Charlotte, North Carolina, where she began her Nurse Practitioner career. Rae Ann has vast experience in oncology, hospice and palliative care, primary care, corrections, addiction medicine, and geriatrics. She has centered her practice around the creed “patients first,” putting her patients at the center of everything she does. Rae Ann returned to Columbus in 2016 and became an instructor at her alma mater in their Second Degree Accelerated Nursing Program. She taught medicine, surgery, geriatrics, and pharmacology in both clinical and didactic settings.
In her spare time, Rae Ann enjoys spending time with her son, Cameron, and her fur babies: Bella and Nova. She also enjoys traveling, shopping, and going to the movies.
